Installing the Plugin
Installing the plugin is a very simple proceedure
1. Click on the plugins setion on the menu
2. Click on the upload link
3. Locate the plugin that you downloaded from our users control panel
4. Click upload
5. Click activate
6. Go to the Category Master menu
Setting up your rules
The rules are very simple to setup, you need to decide what keywords or phrases that you want to make automated rules for, the plugin will look for those keywords in the post title, body or tags each one of your blog posts (existing or new) and will automatically put that post into the category you have specified.
1. Click on the Category Master section on the menu
2. You will see the Category master Settings Page, the top half allows yuo to create rules and the bottom half allows you to setup the automation settings
3. Click on the ‘Add New Rule’ Link
4. Add the Keyword in the keyword field
5. Choose whcih category you want posts containing your keyword to be placed into
6. Click the ‘Update category master Rules’ Button
7. The Rules will be saved and processed on your site
Creating a new Category
If you are setting up rules and you realize that you need an additional category, simply select the ‘New Category’ Option from the categories field, this will show another field for you to enter the name of the category you wish to create. When you save your rules this category will be created and the rules you have specified followed.
Automation Options
The plugin can periodically re-process the rules you have specified, this allows you to ensure that your site is constantly up-to-date with the posts in the categories you want. Remember that the rules will also be processed when you publish a new post so it will only be for any posts that are imported or that are inserted into your blog in another manner that will need the Automation options setting up. All others are handled either by saving the rules on the settings page or in the background when you publish a post.
Adding a New WordPress Category
The Category Master Plugin allows you to add categories directly from the rules setup page.
