The Datafeed import plugin for WordPress (also known as the Multifeed Import plugin for WordPress due to its ability to handle many datafeeds at once) builds on the features and functionality of WordPress to allow you to rapidly create fully featured websites from any well formed Datafeed. WordPress does not need to be solely a blogging platform, indeed there are many uses for WordPress. This plugin turns WordPress into something more than it currently is allowing you to use it as a platform for all your web sites.

The plugin will import Comma Separated files (CSV), Pipe separated files, RSS feeds and XML Feeds, into WordPress and allows you to generate a website from them. We have developed a unique WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) template designer to allow you to control the look and feel of the listing for each record in the datafeed (be that a product, news article or other data).

Using the template designer you can choose what data to use in the listings, how they are viewed, include images, links, thumbnails. Tags and categories can either be automatically generated from one or more fields in your datafeed or they can be existing tags and categories.

If you are using a feed from a URL, the WordPress plugin will automatically keep your site up-to-date with changes to any of the records in the datafeed or create new listings for new records. It can also automatically delete listings for records that no longer exist.

The Datafeed Import Plugin for WordPress was initially designed for Affiliate Marketers, however it’s application is far more wide raging than that, news sites, drop shippers and aggregation sites amongst others, are all using the plugin to control their websites. The addition of the RSS feed import and XML import facility opens it up to many more uses.
